A recent press release from Mandola’s Italian Kitchen says Oldsmar and Odessa will soon be the homes of its newest Florida restaurants. Oldsmar’s location, at 3138 Tampa Rd., opens on Monday, Sept. 19, while Odessa’s will debut in early 2023.
Oldsmar’s upcoming 5,000-square-foot restaurant will open out of a plaza, adjacent to an AMC movie theater, and seat approximately 120 guests. In addition to the restaurant itself, this location will also have a marketplace of sorts where guests can purchase pastas, sauces, imported chocolates and specialty oil and vinegar.
The Italian chain, which has locations throughout Texas as well, boasts a menu of hearty Italian dishes. Popular menu items includes shrimp scampi, chicken parmesan and lasagna alongside pizzas, salads and soups. Its in-house bakery slings cookies, cakes, cannoli and other Italian desserts.
Mandola’s Italian Kitchen comes from Damian Mandola, the co-founder of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and his wife and business partner Trina Mandola. Its recent Florida growth, however, is a result of a partnership between Damian Mandola and Paul Avery, President and CEO of the World of Beer Bar & Kitchen chain and former President and COO of Outback Steakhouse.
Currently, there are only two locations of Mandola’s Italian Kitchen in Tampa Bay, in Carrollwood and Riverview. Its debut Florida restaurant opened in Riverview in fall 2020, marking a speedy expansion throughout the Sunshine State over the past few years.
According to its website, there are also new restaurants heading to both Orlando and Jacksonville, in addition to Odessa and Oldsmar’s upcoming locations.
Its soon-to-open Oldsmar location is already seeking cashiers, food runners, dishwashers and line cooks among other positions; folks interested should email [email protected].
