New Mexican Restaurant Opening In Forked River

LACEY, NJ — How many tacos is too many? Lacey will soon find out, as a new Mexican restaurant is coming to town.

The owners of Little Italy announced the news on social media, calling the upcoming restaurant, La Catrina, their “new partnership.”

Few details were released about La Catrina, other than that it would take the place of the former Anthony’s Seafood in Forked River, which closed earlier this year.

Those who have driven past the area recently may have noticed the building displaying a coming soon sign for La Catrina. No official opening date has been announced.

La Catrina joins the recently-opened Taco-Tastic in Lanoka Harbor, along with Quesadilla Doña Meche and Tacoholics as Lacey’s Mexican restaurants, plus Mexican-adjacent chains Surf Taco, Chipotle and Taco Bell.
