Forget a bouquet—these pizza roses are the best way to show your sweetheart you care this
Valentine’s Day. These pizza-fied roses win in every category: they’re edible, cheesy, and so simple to make (you only need 5-ingredients to create them!). Ready in a little more than 30 minutes, these are the perfect Valentine’s Day snack to surprise your loved one with (movie night in, anyone?).
No stretching pizza dough here—we use store-bought crescent dough to make these bites. One important thing to note about making these roses: we decided to cut our pepperoni slices in half to make layering a tad easier, but if you prefer not to, you can layer them whole, just like we did in the video above.
If you want to take these bites over-the-top, use our homemade pizza sauce, or buy store-bought to make this recipe easier than ever. Serve with even more Parmesan and marinara for dipping, and you’ve got a swoon-worthy treat ready to be devoured.

- Step 1
Preheat oven to 375° and spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Step 2On a lightly floured surface, unroll crescent dough and separate into 4 rectangles. If the dough has perforated edges, pinch together to seal.
- Step 3Using a pizza cutter, cut each rectangle of dough lengthwise into three 1”-wide strips. Spread a very thin layer of sauce onto each strip. Sprinkle with cheeses, then layer pepperoni halves on top half of each strip so that they’re slightly overlapping and the top halves of the pepperoni slices are off the pastry. Fold up bottom half of dough and tightly roll.
- Step 4Transfer to prepared muffin tin and bake until golden, 10-15 minutes.
- Step 5Serve warm.
