Mini golf isn’t just for kids—especially not at

Swingers in NYC, which checks IDs at the door. Originating in London as a pop-up that combined food, drinks, and what they call “crazy golf,” Swingers eventually expanded into brick-and-mortar locations in the U.K. and two in the U.S., in Washington, D.C. and New York City. Additional U.S. locations are expected to open in the future.

Naturally, the Delish team had to check out this new addition to the neighborhood. So, we ditched the idea of a lame holiday party and went to Swingers’ New York City location for a little team building—and lot of food and drinks. Here’s what you can expect when you go:

The Courses: Three Themed Courses

This is by no means your typical mini golf spot. Swingers Crazy Golf has three nine-hole courses including the Waterwheel, Clocktower, and Windmill courses.

The Atmosphere: Playful, Yet Sophisticated

It’s theatrical, a bit whimsical, but somehow still sophisticated. It felt a little like a grown-up amusement park that wasn’t overly cheesy. It’s a place where you can pair a solid martini with top-notch waffle fries. Apart from the courses, there are several bars and seating areas where you can order a meal and hangout before or after you play.

The Food: They’ve Got It All

It’s the answer to the dilemma: where should we go to eat? Swingers has many food options, including popular items from local restaurants. The NYC location serves up food from beloved spots like Emmy Squared Pizza, Sauce Pizzeria, and Tacos Fonda. Having a party? You can purchase food and drink packages for up to 20 people.

The Drinks: You’ve Got Options

The expansive drink menu includes everything from beer and wine to cocktails and premium spirits. The cocktail menu is robust, with drinks like the Fairway To Heaven, Sex On The Green Shot, and any classic cocktail you can think of. Among our group, The Swinger seemed to be the most popular. It’s a classic gin and tonic with plenty of garnishes. And if you get thirsty out on the green? Caddies walk around the course to take drink orders.
