Guy Fieri is a
family man through and through. And while his wife and three kids have made guest appearances on several of his Food Network series, all you need is a quick scroll through his Instagram to know how tight-knit the Fieri fam really is.
Case in point: Guy’s heartwarming (some may say tear-jerking) birthday shoutout to his youngest son, Ryder.
“A special day up here at the ranch—Ryder’s birthday,” Fieri said in a video posted to Instagram. “And I’ll tell you what, son: I couldn’t be more proud of you. You’re an amazing person. You are your own man, you’re an individual. Great athlete, great student, great friend, great son.”
Are you crying yet?
“You make me so proud. Happy 18th birthday,” he added.
Fans were in their feels over the post.
“I AM NOT CRYING. ITS JUST DUSTY IN MY APARTMENT. VERY DUSTY 😪,” celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli wrote.
Another added, “Well you just made me all teary eyed !!! 😢 That’s just about the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard.”
The father-son duo, plus Hunter, recently inked their family bond (literally) as part of the birthday festivities. “Happy New Year from the Fieri’s 🔥,” Guy wrote, alongside a ‘gram of the trio sporting matching bicep tattoos.
Guy Fieri’s oldest, Hunter, celebrated a milestone of his own recently too: an engagement. After meeting just last year at his dad’s Super Bowl tailgate, Hunter popped the question to professional pickleball player Tara Bernstein.
“We’re all dancing, having a great time. I turned around and I’m like, ‘Hey, can you take a video of me?’ And it was Hunter,” Tara told PEOPLE. “That was literally it.”
“We both knew that we were going to marry each other. We just knew and we were just waiting for the timing of when I could do it,” Hunter added of the proposal. “The only time I could [propose] was Thanksgiving.”
Naturally, Fieri took to Instagram with a special shoutout for the occasion. “You two were made for each other,” the Food Network star wrote. “Welcome to the family, Tara.” The happy couple chimed in with their own thanks, writing, “Love you so much dad” and “grateful for our families.”
