How to make cookies in the air fryer:
It’s as easy as making your simple cookie dough, then baking in the air fryer—that’s it! A few things to keep in mind: make sure you place a piece of parchment in the air fryer basket, leaving enough room around the edges to allow air flow. If you’re baking the entire dozen, work in batches, scooping the cookie dough onto the parchment with about 2” between each cookie. Press your cookie dough balls to flatten them slightly, then bake until golden and slightly soft.
Air fryer cookie variations:
We went with chocolate chips and chopped walnuts in these cookies, but you can experiment with your mix-ins as you please. Not a nuts fan? Leave them out, and add in some extra chocolate chips. Replace the chocolate chips with M&M if you prefer, or white chocolate chips and dried cranberries.
Cookie dough storage:
Want to save extra dough? Good news: It freezes very well. Just scoop leftover dough into rounds and place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Once the balls are solid, transfer to an airtight container and freeze until you’re ready to bake. Just know that you may need to add a couple of minutes to the total cook time.
