How to make Cool Whip Easter eggs:
It really couldn’t be easier to make and decorate these Easter eggs, but we’ve got all of our top tips here to help make this process as easy as possible:
— How to hard-boil your eggs. Refer to our hard-boiled eggs recipe for our step-by-step guide on hard-boiling your eggs perfectly, everytime.
— Soak your eggs in vinegar. For the best results, soak your eggs in vinegar for a minimum of 2 minutes so the color really clings to the egg shell.
— The food coloring. We prefer liquid food coloring to gel or powdered food coloring as it’s easier to swirl in the cool whip.
— Get to decorating. You can swirl and decorate these eggs however you please. Personally, we love to create a marble design on our eggs.
What to do with Cool Whip Easter eggs:
The best thing about this festive idea? Our method uses all edible ingredients, so you can eat the eggs when you’re done displaying them! We’d suggest turning them into your favorite deviled eggs (harissa deviled eggs or dill pickle deviled eggs, anyone?), egg salad (or our Cobb egg salad), or a classic Niçoise salad.
