What flavor White Claw should I use?
This drink is flavored with pomegranate juice and lime. The recipe calls for a raspberry-flavored White Claw, but there are plenty of other flavors that would be great like black cherry, lime, or even tangerine. Get creative! And if you can’t find pomegranate juice, cranberry cocktail is a great swap. Both have the holiday red color and added fruitiness.
How do I make that fancy sugar rim?
It looks impressive but is seriously simple. First off, you want to buy a coarse sugar that will be visible. Regular granulated sugar will just dissolve and look sad. Sanding sugar can be found near the sprinkles in the grocery store and is the perfect thing to mimic the fur trim on Mrs. Claus’s outfit. To get the sugar to stick, you simply rub a lime wedge on the edge of the rim of the glass. You can also use honey or corn syrup for a firmer hold.
We’ve added 1 ounce of vodka to give this drink a little kick, but if you’re trying to stretch out the evening, simply leave it out. Your cocktails will still be delicious and then you can have another.
